"In Like A Lion Out Like A Lamb"
Yes, March is upon us and the famous saying that comes with it, "In like a lion, out like a lamb" often refers to the weather. I believe it can actually be about life in general. It can mean the end of winter and beginning of the new fresh season of spring. To me it should be the start of the new year. January is holiday hangover. February, laziness of winter and then here it is, March!
It also brings along the March madness of sports. Tournaments in Basketball and hockey, all playing to be the number one spot in their leagues.
I feel the roar of the lion as the month starts, my schedule full with writing boot camps, online forums and getting prepared for the RT Convention in April. This year it is in Columbus Ohio.
I am looking forward to the new month, new challenges and most of all a fresh start to the year! How about you? what are you looking forward to this spring?

Olympic Events
So the olympic games have started. The opening ceremonies were fantastic and so elegantly done. Canada should be very proud of their presentation. It also opened with great sadness, one of the competitors in the luge was killed in a tragic accident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his team, country and family. I love the olympics, they bring together all the wonderful cultures of different countries. Even though they are sometimes fierce competitors, they still have an exceptional camaraderie. My favorite choices are the skiing and snowboarding events. I love the youth and enthusiasm they put into their shows. I wish all the competitors the best of luck and hope the U.S.A. finds gold this year! Do you enjoy the olympics? Have a favorite sport you follow?

Happy February!
I am so excited that February is here!
The month of love and romance! Which is what writing romance novels is all about! There are many types of celebrations during Valentines Day. Fancy dinners, Flowers, candy, jewelery, quiet intimate memories at home. You name it it has been done.
It also means maybe sending a special someone in your life a little card just to tell them , you love them and they are important to you. Siblings, friends, children, anyone who may just appreciate a 'hi, your special to me'. My children are all grown, I love sending them a valentine in the mail with a small gift card token. Everyone loves to get something in the mail besides bills once in a while!
My husband always makes Valentines Day a special time for us, it may be simple or extravagant, but it comes from his heart. If I had to pick two of my favorites they would be, a trip to New Orleans one year for Mardi Gras and once he gave me a stuffed white cat, now that may sound silly but I had wanted a cat so badly and he didn't, so he bought me the most beautiful stuffed cat you have ever seen. Yes, he wrapped it himself in that brown paper bag he favors! LOL!
Do you have a favorite Valentines Day tradition? How about a favorite memory?

Winters Cold Days
Winter has the tendency to make me want to stay indoors and do something constructive in my house. So since I am not actually in my house, I sometimes find myself at a loss for fun and exciting activities to keep me busy. My first love of course is writing, I can dream of handsome hero's, sweeping adorable heroines of their feet. In warm exotic locations if I so choose!
Winter also brings a peace and serenity to my life, it is often quiet, and allows so much time for reflection on both the past and present. I sincerely do enjoy winter, not the cold and most certainly not the ice. I enjoy the clean white crispness of a new fallen snow. It brings the refreshing ability to take time to regroup and focus on the new beginning that spring will bring with it. Do you have a favorite season? Is it the refreshing winters? New found spring? Warm sultry summers? Fall foliage?

Happy New Year
Wishing everyone a very happy and healthy 2010! Have you made your new year resolutions? I try to stay away from this tradition, making smaller goals through the year, seems to work better for me. No matter what you do, one big goal or little ones more often, remember, don't give up! Keep on moving forward and focus on your achievements no matter how small or large!
How about you? Any resolutions?

Holiday Spirit!
Usually this time of year I am pulling my hair out. Since traveling with my husband, our time at home is very limited. In the past few years we get home two days before Christmas and decorate, shop and have our family over in such a rush, I sometimes cringe at the thought.
This year we were home over Thanksgiving, we used our time wisely, we decorated, shopped and even baked a few Christmas cookies. So now when we do return home, we can do a few small details and enjoy the season with our family and friends. It just seems much more relaxed to me and I am really into the holiday spirit this year.
The month of December is sometimes so busy we just don't take the time to sit back and enjoy the holiday season, however you may spend it. This year, I am going to enjoy the season, not let myself feel stressed or sad. I am going to embrace the good with the bad.
How about you? Do you embrace and enjoy the holidays? or do you find them overwhelining and can't wait for it all to be over with?
